Bhaag Milkha Bhaag banned in Pakistan

The Pakistan Censor Board has disallowed the release because in the film Milkha refuses to go to Pakistan
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Farhan Akhtar starrer Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has been banned from releasing in Pakistan after the trailer of the film showed the lead character of the film refusing to move to Pakistan. The dialogue “Mujhse nahi hoga. Main Pakistan nahi jaonga” is said to be the main reason for disallowing the release of the film.

When Farhan’s character Milkha Singh is asked to go to Pakistan, he refuses to go there as his family members were brutally killed during the 1947 riots. The film’s producers Viacom 18 wanted to stay true to the real life story of Milkha and have decided not to get rid of the dialogue. They are willing to do away with the release of the film in Pakistan.
