Our critic Rashma Shetty Bali is watching Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (PPNH) in a theatre right now. She has sent her first impression of the film.Rashma says: “In PPNH, Shahid Kapoor (Vishwas Rao) plays a wannabe actor who comes to Mumbai to make it big in the film industry.




But Vishwas’ mother Savitri, (Padmini Kolhapure) has a different career choice for him – she wants him to join the police force. A photoshoot in the Dabangg cop avatar changes the course of Vishwas’ life.” “Shahid plays his part well, except that he can’t carry off over-the-top comedy too well,” she adds.

Shahid’s cop avatar fulfills his mother’s dream and also wins the heart of his girl (Ileana D’Cruz). But what will happen after the mother finds out the truth about Vishwas?
